The past couple of days have been really wonderful.
Tuesday's special guest on Welcome Changes Radio was Dr. Michael Norwood. What an awesome conversation we had! The one-hour show ran over an extra 15 minutes. We played with his process called the "One Minute Miracle" on a situation I'm plurking with. I got some valuable insight from the discussion. The show is well worth downloading and listening to.
Yesterday (Wednesday) I was Kimberly Marooney's special guest for her show, Soul Connections. We talked about the value of Welcoming Change, beliefs, and a whole lot more. I'll be back on her show again in July to continue our conversation. Be sure to stop by and listen to the show!
Today I had my second Golf lesson. I really enjoy golf, but my limited skill has totally holding me back. I was thrilled when my son and husband gave me lessons for Mother's Day! I've already noticed improvement in my swing. What really surprised me is some of the life lessons I observed with the golf lesson.
Slow on the up swing ~ This reminds me of preparation, particularly vision. You don't want to rush it so you truly gain clarity.
Follow Through ~ I noticed how stiff I was, and how I didn't follow through after the swing. I'd stop about 1/2 way up. How often do we get stiff and not completely follow through on things out of fear? Do we play full out, or are we tight and restricting?
They were interesting observations for me.
As for my physical activity goals, I didn't get my walking in. *sigh* The hour on the driving range today was excellent additional activity. I worked out 3 times already this week (tomorrow makes 4), which is good. I drank my water yesterday, but not today. I still have a couple of hours left, so I'm going to get as much in as I possibly can during that time.
To fill my well I actually spent about 2 hours out in the sun pulling weeds in my front flower bed. I found it to be a wonderful active meditation of sorts. I spent very little time thinking about past or future events, though little sparks of inspiration did show up. It was great to enjoy the sun and stick my fingers in the dirt. Grounding and revitalizing.
That's it for today! Next Tuesday evening I'll be updating you on my measurements again.
